Education

Ian went to Florida Atlantic University, where he earned his Bachelor’s in Political Science. He next enrolled at Florida A&M University’s College of Law here in Orlando. Ian excelled in the classroom, making the Dean’s List three times, being named a Merit Scholar for his final two years of school, and earning six book awards for the highest grade achieved in class. Ian graduated cum laude, eighth overall in his class.


Memberships

Ian is a member of the Florida Bar and admitted to practice in all Florida State Courts. He is a member of the Florida Justice Association (FJA) and the Central Florida Trial Lawyers Association (CFTLA).


Biography Overview

For as long as he can remember, Ian Depagnier only wanted to be an attorney. In law school, Ian participated in four national Moot Court competitions, earning perfect scores for oral argument multiple times. During his final semester, in addition to working at Paul & Perkins, P.A., Ian interned at the Florida A&M University College of Law’s Housing Clinic, assisting in the defense of underrepresented clients. During his time there, Ian was part of a team of students who successfully defended an eviction action on behalf of an indigent client.

Ian has been with the firm since he was in law school, and has dedicated his career as an advocate for those injured. He was able to gain valuable, real world experience while finishing his studies and accepted a position as an associate at Paul & Perkins, P.A. after being admitted to practice. Ian has personally assisted on cases which have resolved for millions of dollars and continues to strive for the best possible results for his clients. His areas of focus include nursing home abuse and neglect, medical malpractice, birth injuries, premises liability, and general personal injury.
